Fire Truck Pull Helps Athletes!

Seven teams competed Saturday, August 19 in a Fire-Truck Pull to benefit the Special Olympics Athletes who compete in the Central Region. Each 10-member team was timed pulling the 45,000 pound fire truck 20 feet. The winning team was made up of players from the Abner Doubledays who teamed up with a few Special Olympics athletes. Other teams included; Cayuga Corrections Facility, Wal-Mart, Destiny Design, Southern Springs, Auburn Correctional Facility, and a second team of Special Olympic atheltes. A great time was had by all, and best of all the event raised almost $10,000. That money can be used to send more than 30 athletes to Special Olympic competitions. Thank you all, and we will see you again in 2007!!
